I’ve been practicing as a professional psychic for five years or so. Actually, I’ve been psychic all of my life. Even though I’m psychic, I don’t know everything. I’m human, not God. So, from time to time, I’ve received readings for myself to make sure I’m hearing my guidance correctly that I’m on the right path in life for me.
Yes, I’m not only a psychic, but I’m also a client.
I tend to get readings about once every season. Sometimes, I trade with psychic colleagues. Other times, I pay to have a reading done. As both a reader and a client, I have a unique perspective about my industry. I have had many readings, so I’m familiar with what to look for when shopping around for a psychic reading.
Actually, for years, I’ve been involved in pursuing my own healing on all levels. I’ve spent thousands of dollars to work on my issues (crap) and to become “enlightened.” I have to tell you that just because a psychic or healer is well-known (famous) or super expensive doesn’t mean that you will get a good reading or healing.
Instead of keeping this information all to myself, I thought I’d help you out by sharing some information about how to shop for a psychic reader. I share this in hopes of having you avoid some annoyance or negativity in your search for a good psychic. (Perhaps, too, I’ll save you some money and time—always a good thing.)
My industry is just like any other. There are people who are good with loving intentions to truly help others. But, there also are people who are not-so-good with intentions to swindle you in some way. The not-so-good people sometimes make it difficult for those of us who are working in the field with good intentions. I call them the Creepy Old School Psychics (I’ll call them the Creepies for short).
The Creepies do or say some things that make my industry look bad. Mostly, they are easy to detect, but sometimes, they work more in a more subtle way.
To be honest, the Creepies piss me off. My punk rock nature tends to ignore them mostly. I prefer to just shine my own light, being positive and loving with good intentions to serve others. Everyone has their own lessons, so I work really hard on not judging the Creepies, but yet, I feel called to expose their darkness or antics.
I consider myself a High Vibrational New School Psychic. (Sorry, no shortened nicknames here or I possibly could sound very unprofessional.). I’m a new generation psychic. I prefer to spread good vibes in the world. It feels better to me to empower others to create their best possible live. The Creepies like to prey on you, telling you ridiculous things that are often untrue or misleading.
To help you to make informed decisions about hiring a psychic to give you a reading, I’ve compiled this list of traits so that you’ll know and understand the difference between Creepy Old School Psychics versus High Vibrational New School Psychics. I’m also doing this partly to reclaim the psychic world as something positive and awesome—because it is!
Here are some ideas for you to consider:

| Act insensitive to your needs | Work to create an atmosphere of love and healing |
| Spy on other people’s energy and thoughts | Ask your guides and divine helpers what you need to know about a person or persons |
| Talk about “bad karma” | Focus on the positive side of life lessons |
| Encourage you to be happy with the status quo | Empower you to make healthy life changes that you desire and work well for you |
| Talk about your limitations | Focus on your strengths and ability to attain your goals |
| Perpetuate the mystery of the psychic world | Demystify the psychic world and make it easily understandable for you |
This list should help you in shopping for a psychic. I really believe that you are the best authority on your life. Only you know what is right for you. Getting a psychic reading is just one step towards clarity on your path. Psychic readings are not a cure-all. As a psychic, I work to walk my talk so that I can bring you information that is loving and useful. My objective is to help you in the best possible way.
Never allow anyone to take away your power, your free will, or your hope for the future. Always defer to your own guidance or intuition when making a decision. Do not buy into the old school, fear-based energies that some psychics like to project onto you so that you’ll open up your pocketbook for them. If something doesn’t feel right in a reading, I always tell my clients to please speak up because it is their session. Always speak up and communicate your needs when working with any healer or psychic. It’s about you, not them!
Sending you blessings on your journey,
Lisa
