I'm Done Administering Psychic First Aid!

I’ve been pondering the Big Stuff lately in my own life.  I’ve contemplated my life purpose over several cups of coffee over the past month.  Caffeinated thoughts of mine have surfaced about what annoys me about the psychic industry.  I’ve also been asking myself, “How can I best serve others with my skills and talents?”

I’ve meditated and journaled quite a bit in order to gain clarity on these subjects.  I prefer to do this before I blog about anything really personal that requires me to speak my truth so honestly.  I only can be honest!  So, here we go…

I just have to come out and say that I’m done administering Psychic First Aid!

After all of my self-reflection, I feel peaceful admitting this to you.  You might be wondering what I mean by “Psychic First Aid”?

Psychic First Aid is my blanket term for when you want a reading on the big life stuff, but you just want me to:

–Tell you what will happen, so you don’t have to make a decision.  (Your choices are yours to make.  I only can give you information that helps you to make your own best decision!)

–Make your decisions for you!  (Again, it is up to you to make the decision that feels right for you.  I honor your free will–always!)

–Tell you that everything will be okay, so you don’t have to do any work on yourself.  You can’t change another person, so you have to work on healing things on your end.  It is always about YOU, not the other person.

–Put a little bandaid on a big, gaping and/or gushing emotional, mental, or spiritual wound.  (Did you ever think of the possibility that you might need counseling or another professional to help you?)

–Spy on another person to tell you what he or she is thinking, so you don’t have to talk to them! (Just so you know, I don’t ever psychically “spy” on others because this is not ethical, at least in my eyes!)

–Tell you in the span of 15 minutes or less (in phone readings) what your life purpose is, which dead people want to talk to you, when you’ll meet your soulmate, and when you will get your dream job–all in one reading!  (Do you really think 15 minutes is enough time to get into all of these areas?  Order a longer reading!)

–Tell you more details about the same situation you just had a reading on recently.  If you get frequent readings on the same issue, chances are, you will get the same information over and over again–until you change your life by taking other action.

–Tell you how to win the lotto or create financial windfalls.  No, I don’t have the lottery numbers, winning horses’ names, etc.  I also have no idea where the hidden money is or whether you have an inheritance coming.  I don’t know when your welfare or child support check is coming (I refuse to let you pay for a reading on these things!  Save it for something important–like food!)  Why not create your own windfall by busting your butt?  I can give you a reading about how you might use your skills and talents to create more income in addition to your job or other sources of income. Hard work never hurt anyone, by the way.

–Tell you whether you will get a certain job.  Why put your eggs in one basket?  Keep on looking, sending out resumes, and hitting the pavement.  Sooner or later, you will land that dream job!  The thing is, I only can give you a reading on what you can do to help this process along.

So, you get the point.  There are limitations with psychic readings!  However, you are a limitless being with potential and the ability to create your own future.  I’m not a magician or a fairy godmother.  I don’t have some wand to wave to make it all better.

Sometimes, you have to help yourself.  You have to take action (get off the couch!) to create a better life.  At times, you don’t need a psychic.  You might need a psychologist, financial advisor, job coach, or even a friend or family member’s listening ear.  A psychic reading is just one step towards clarity. The rest is up to you, baby!

I’m done administering Psychic First Aid.  I’m not here to wave a magic wand to make it all better.  I’m here to give you serious, loving messages from the divine about how to realize more of your potential.  I’m here to help you to tap into your core gifts, skills, and talents.  I’m here to give you guidance about how to create your awesome, ideal life.  I’m here to give you guidance on how to make your dreams come true.  I’m here to tell you about how to remove blocks that are holding you back.

I’m not a fortune teller or some sideshow or dog and pony act!  I’m here to give you serious readings that rock your world.  From now on, I only desire to work with clients who have a true, sincere desire to transform, along with desiring some serious guidance about how to heal, move forward, and evolve spiritually.

My belief is that if you get a deep, transformative reading, you don’t need to get frequent psychic readings.  Everyone is different when it comes to the frequency of getting readings.  But, I don’t allow a dependency on my reading services.  I will let you know if you are getting readings too much.  I become annoyed at some in the psychic industry.  They want you to get frequent readings to pad their pockets.  This dishonors you as a person.  You might not be empowered to learn how to follow your own guidance.  You might not learn how to make your own decisions.  This is a shame because it not only dishonors you, but it costs you money, and often, a lot of it!

This blog post is just a heads-up about the types of readings that I’m not willing to do any longer.  I also will be phasing out of shorter readings.  I also most likely will phase out of charging by the minute (there are other options currently if this per-minute type of readings doesn’t resonate).  I find that charging by the minute doesn’t vibe well with my personal beliefs and ethics.  Chances are, I only will be offering 45-minute phone readings in the very near future.  Also, email readings will be changing in some way too.  I’m still working out the details.

And, be prepared to have your questions (in readings) questioned.  I frequently rephrase your questions.  For example, if you ask about whether your spouse is cheating on you, I will rephrase the question to be:  “What do you need to know about how to best heal your marriage?”  This gets better results and higher quality guidance for you.  After all, it is about YOU, not the other person, as I mentioned.
