As a psychic, I sometimes get asked to do things that I refuse to do. One person asked me to tell her what she ate for breakfast. Another woman asked me to give me the name of the person who was having an affair with her husband. I’ve had people ask me for the lottery numbers. I’ve had some people ask me to guess the color of their undergarments–seriously. This is called Test the Psychic.
This stuff is just parlor tricks. I prefer to use my psychic gifts for good. I prefer to tell you helpful messages that your divine team of guides and angels have been trying to deliver to you. I like to give you details about how to live more of your life purpose. Stuff like that.
The title of this post says it all. Use your powers for good. I’m not just talking about psychic ability here. Everyone has talents, gifts, and skills. You can choose to use these for making the world a better place or to make it less beautiful.
Also, the way you do things matters. I myself appreciate it, but also find it annoying when people correct my spelling in informal settings such as on Facebook. To me, that says a ton about someone. That person would rather focus on my flaws. That person is choosing to be right versus being loving. (I didn’t hire them to be my editor, so I didn’t ask to be corrected.) This is just one example out of many ways to use your powers for good.
I have met people with brilliant minds that are using their skills to do things like work in the defense industry. I try my best not to judge, but it’s hard for me since I tend towards being a pacifist. I will never understand why some people use their computer skills to wreak havoc on others. I don’t get stuff like that at all.
But, it boils down to this–it’s all about choice. You can choose to be loving or not. It’s really up to you.
This post is intended as food for thought. What do you think about these ideas? Feel free to comment here.
Thanks and blessings,
Lisa

I tend to get mighty annoyed with the social media editors, too. Unless it’s a situation where I need to be corrected, ala, the internet version of someone quietly letting you know your fly is down.
Though, I’ll admit, if someone’s doing the negatron deal, talking about something being stupid and they misspell or whatever- I will point it out because, well, it’s funny.
I used to do the internet snark thing and I can explain that, at least from my perspective. When I did it, I was ate up. I’m not even going to mince words, I was very, very angry and all it was, was lashing out. It wasn’t healthy, that does not make it right- but I often wonder how many out there do it for that reason.
I made a choice to not be that guy anymore, and I don’t feel any sense of loss at all.
Tori, I so hear you. Lately, at least in my personal life, I’m writing some stuff on-line that is sort of snark-y. It’s sort of fun. In the past, I held back, afraid to rock the boat. I was afraid people would get mad at me (heaven, forbid! hee hee!).
I am desensitized more and more, especially as I get older. I don’t feel like putting up with people’s shit, especially via electronic communications. Thank goodness I don’t have texting on my phone. I would be really grumpy and snark-y.
Yesterday, I read some blog post on-line about how Patti Smith sold out since she did something with Disney. I left a comment on the blog that was basically like “Who cares? What’s your point? Someone could argue that you [the blogger] sold out by writing for the L.A. Times.” I mean, Iggy Pop was on “American Idol” too. I just don’t care if it’s considered “selling out.” Hee hee!
I think it’s all a balance. Whatever works for you
I completely agree with you that it’s best to use your powers (psychic, healing, or other kinds) for good. Not to harm, to judge or to manipulate.
I have to keep this in mind with healing techniques. I try to remember to ask if loved ones want my healing help because sometimes they don’t!
Jeanine, I’m sure you’re fine
If someone refuses the healing consciously, I’m sure the energies just get recycled. I’m a bit believer in free will, but sometimes, if you talk to someone’s higher self, they say “yes.” I only mention this since I work a lot on my backyard squirrel friends. I attract a ton of them and some have injuries. I’ll ask their little higher selves if they want the Reiki. They usually say “yes.” Their conscious side says, “No, I want seed! Feed me! You’re a human and there are only 2 types of humans–those with food and those without…you have the food, lady, so spill it!”
I’m not sure what loved ones’ higher selves would say. I’m sure it’s a bit different! Heehee!
Sorry, my bad, bad humor!
You’re so conscious of yourself, I’m sure you don’t have to worry!
